Fun & Joy- Fun for me is practicing random acts of connection, a long jog in the morning, waving a kid, have a friendly conversation with stranger, putting my garbage can on my desk and labeling it 'INBOX', screaming I Won!, I Won! when the money comes out of ATM machine, taking one month trip to Europe on credit cards, dancing salsa with a 60 year old women, learning country western dancing, spending time with a friend who is lonely and sick, attempting cliff diving in a river with my feet shaking and a rapidly thumping heartbeat, driving across the mountains of Slovenia, watching Eiffel tower in reality for the first time, living with a family in Bosnia for 7 good days, laughing till my stomach hurts, going to sleep listening to the rain pouring outside, enjoying a ride down the country side, finding a 5 Rs bill in old pants, wearing a T-Shirt that blatantly says 'I don't have a GF', talking to my family over phone for several hours, seeing my loved ones happy, teaching poor kids and sponsoring education of kids in India, cooking for 6 long hours, spending time with family back in India, talking to a women of Latvian origin listening to Hindi music with a Pakistani husband and Irish kids waiting for a flight to Denmark-as international as it can get !! :), sipping amazing Arabic tea with Persian music, making long things to do list and checking things off as I finish them one by one, looking at old pictures, buying my first car, working on a research problem all night, meeting interesting people in conferences, talking to a Noble prize winners in person, sipping cheap Korean coffee after long hours of work, jumping in rain during the day and taking medicines for common cold in the night, going to gym and thinking of getting big muscles, preparing a sumptuous Rajasthani meal for friends, !@ing how greasy the food was for the next 3 days and eating healthy sandwiches for a week.
Personal Philosophy - I asked myself what I believed. I found, I believed in belief for its own shining sake. I believed in hope in the face of utter hopelessness. I believe in my p~%ion and determination in adversities. I asked myself what is trust. I found, trust to be a 'boomerang belief', that what you throw out to others will come back to you eventually in life. I trusted my emotions and my logical acts in rough times. I trusted companionship of friends and family when I was vulnerable. I have faith in the fairness of life and I found we are so much stronger than what we imagine. One of the best things I did to my life was running towards my fears. A guy afraid of small roller coasters has ridden some of the monstrous roller coasters in the world. A guy afraid of deep waters has Kayaked and rafted through the mountain rivers of Slovenia. A guy afraid of math cleared IIT entrance examination and graduated with an honors degree from one of the best petroleum engineering schools in the world. A guy craving for a small achievement has won an international award. In my life thus far, I wished hard, I hoped hard, but I have always distrusted 'organized' religion. I enjoy going to churches and mosques and watching people pray in Hindu temples. I have always believed in one super-natural power which is uber-powerful and all pervasive. I wish world to come together with this fact rather than what we are doing at the moment.
Looking For- Travelling across several countries and living in a foreign country has given me a different perspective of life. I am looking for girl who is comfortable with herself and can speak her own opinion on things, p~%ionate and knows how to follow her heart, intelligence and sense of humor is a given. Should like dancing, respect and love my family, fitness lover and wanting to make a difference to the surroundings.
